Full Steam Ahead on the Famous Gotthard Rail
Winding its way through the Alps, the Gotthard Line is one of Europe’s most famous and ingeniously built mountain railroads. Rising 2079 feet on the northern site from Erstfeld to Göschenen, it has 3 spiral tunnels- the main Gotthard tunnel is 9.2 miles long.
